A man who was recently released from prison may be on his way back after he apparently held a woman against her will at gunpoint, prompting officers to set up a perimeter to trap and capture him.
Brandon Radshaun Graves, 36, is charged with several felonies in connection to the incident including kidnapping. Graves was arrested over the weekend on Nov. 13.
Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex located at the intersection of SW 47th and Agnew Ave. in reference to a domestic disturbance. While enroute to the location a second call was received by police stating that shots had been fired inside an apartment building.
Officers arrived and spoke to witnesses who identified Graves as their suspect.
Witnesses told police Graves had pistol whipped a woman earlier and dragged her by force into an apartment. Witnesses also told police Graves had put a gun to the woman's head and told her he intended to kill her.
Officers attempted to make contact with Graves but were unsuccessful, heightening their concerns and prompting them to set up a perimeter and call in air support.
Graves eventually answered officers who were attempting to coax him out of the apartment. As Graves exited the apartment he made a sudden move towards officers prompting them to deploy their taser units. Graves was tasered by police and taken into custody without further incident.
A subsequent search of the residence located a firearm sitting on a kitchen countertop.
A search of court records shows Graves is currently on felony probation and has prior arrests for domestic violence.
Graves was transported to the Oklahoma County Jail without further incident.
