County Republicans to hold June 25 cookout

On Saturday, June 25, the Oklahoma County Republican Party will be hosting its 1st Annual County Cookout Classic at Sportsman’s Country Club. The event will start at 4 p.m. and end at dusk. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be provided. The cost is $5 per person with children under six eating for free.

This event provides an opportunity for Republicans to come together for an evening of fun activities. Reid Mullins, from KTOK, will be Master of Ceremonies for the evening. The keynote speaker will be 5th District Congressman James Lankford.

Local, state and federal elected officials will be in attendance. There will be activities for young and old, including a dunk tank, fishing, horseshoes, volleyball, dessert contest and live

music.

Touting the event in a statement, Oklahoma County Chairman Matt Jackson told The City Sentinel, “We are excited about this event; our Programs Committee has been working hard to make it a success. This will be a great kickoff as we prepare for 2012.”
