Oklahoma musicians and songwriters will be featured at the 4th annual Live Music on the Canal event, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 20-21. Presented by Gwinner Studios Ltd. Co. and supported by many local businesses, the two-day Oklahoma City music festival will present free performances.
Approximately 200 musicians within 70 showcases will perform on 5 stages in the Bricktown district. This year’s live music lineup includes Jabee, Stephen Speaks, Dustin Prinz, Allie Lauren and The Secret Post and many others.
All Oklahoma artists, the 70 performing acts will bring a wide variety of genres and talent to the event.
Dot Rhyne, executive producer of Chevy Music Showcase said, “On behalf of the Oklahoma Chevy Team Dealers and Chevy Music Showcase, we’re happy to support Live Music on the Canal for the third consecutive year. We love the spotlight on all Oklahoma songwriters and enjoy the variety of great original music shared throughout this two-day event.”
Music will be performed on 5 stages: The Main stage in front of Harkins Theater off Johnny Bench Drive; Jazmo’s Bourbon Street Café, 100 E. California Ave. features both indoor and outdoor venues; Earl’s Rib Palace, 216 Johnny Bench Dr.; and the Green space next to Wanda Jackson Way on the Canal level.
Brian and Jessica Gwinner are the owners of Gwinner Studios, a mobile recording company that is actively involved in the local music community. The Gwinners began Live Music on the Canal in 2010 as a way to bring local music to Bricktown visitors.
Jessica Gwinner, director of sales and marketing for Gwinner Studios said, “Our mission is twofold really: to provide social and economical support for Oklahoma musicians and to boost our economy through Oklahoma businesses.
