OKLAHOMA CITY ─ In its “2021 Best Online Programs” rankings, U.S. News and World Report ranked multiple University of Oklahoma (OU) online programs among the best in the nation.

The list, an analysis of U.S. higher education options for nontraditional learners, named OU No. 14 among best online bachelor’s programs for 2021.

Also receiving high rankings were the OU College of Professional and Continuing Studies online graduate Criminal Justice program, coming in at No. 12 among the best online graduate criminal justice programs, and OU’s online graduate business (non-MBA) program, coming in at No. 62.

In addition, the College of Professional and Continuing Studies ranked No. 10 for best online programs for veterans, and the Master of Science in Criminal Justice ranked No. 8 for best online graduate criminal justice programs for veterans.

The College of Professional and Continuing Studies (PACS) has been serving nontraditional students since 1961.

“Continually ranking among the best in U.S. News and World Report is a testament to the quality of the college’s programs and its dedication to distance education,” said Martha Banz, Dean for PACS.

“Providing accessible programs designed to help distance learners succeed academically has been our goal for 60 years,” Banz continued.

“We’ve been creating courses specifically designed for online learning since 1998, and in a time where everyone seems to be moving to an online format, we’re honored to once again be recognized for our efforts,’ he added.

A publisher of news and information, U.S. News and World Report evaluated more than 1,600 bachelor’s and master’s degree programs to create the rankings list.

The assessment measured overall academic activity and across varying disciplines, such as business and criminal justice.
