Oklahoma City – The Paseo Arts District’s final First Friday Gallery Walk of the year will take place on Friday, December 7, 6-9 p.m. The Gallery Walk will have over 20 galleries featuring more than 80 artists who will host opening receptions, promising a variety of art, gift items and apparel suited for any holiday party.
This month, the Paseo Art Space will feature the SmallArt Show, a juried exhibition hosted by the Paseo Arts Association featuring small, original works by artists from all over Oklahoma. With all work priced $30 to $199, this show is your chance to give the gift of artwork this holiday season, or even add something new to your own collection.
From oil, pastel and pottery to pen and ink, photography and assemblage, this unique show offers something for everyone to enjoy. The exhibit will be on display in the Paseo Art Space at 3022 Paseo from December 7 to December 21.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to eat an impossible about of pasta and paninis from First Friday first-timer, Mission In-Pasta-Bowl.
Not up to that task? Grab a monster wrap or stacker sandwich packed with southwestern inspired flavor from Rolling Café.
One more opportunity to give the gift of local art to everyone on your list is the PAA’s Deck the Walls – 4×4 Art Show & Auction will take place on Thursday, December 13, 6-8 p.m. at Studio Six (3021 Paseo). Bids will begin at $25, or artwork can be purchased for a “Buy It Now” price of $75.
Don’t miss your chance to take home original work by Oklahoma artists like Jason Wilson, Gayle Curry, John Wolfe, Almira Grammer and so many more.
The Paseo is Oklahoma City’s Unique Arts Destination, located between NW 27th & 30th Streets and Walker & Hudson. Each First Friday, Paseo galleries offer special themed exhibits, refreshments, guest artists and a variety of live entertainment- all within walking distance.
