Attendees can participate in a silent auction with baskets and items from local Midtown businesses. The auction will close at 7:45 p.m. and winners will be notified by December 3rd to pick up prizes.
“A Dog Day in December is one of my favorite events for the district,” said Riley Cole, events coordinator for Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership “This year, our silent auction is bound for success with a great deal of items and gift cards from downtown retailers. Its proceeds directly benefit the continued enhancements of Midtown.”
Oklahoma City’s Midtown community features shopping, restaurants, bars, housing, lodging, and many professional services. Midtown is known for its historic preservation, local and independent merchants, as well as diverse, welcoming neighbors. The event is free and open to all ages, but beverages and photos with Santa will have a suggested donation.
The event is sponsored by The Midtown Association, Tinker Federal Credit Union, COOP Ale Works, and Oklahoma Gazette. Special thanks to Midtown Renaissance OKC for donating the use of the Midtown Mutt’s Dog Park.
The Midtown OKC Association is a 501c(3) organization that provides marketing and promotion to Midtown businesses and for the district itself. Midtown is a part of the downtown Oklahoma City Business Improvement District (BID,) which is managed by the Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership.
The BID delivers street-level amenities such as street cleaning and trash pickup, produces events, and provides additional services such as lighting, landscaping, public art and placemaking.
