OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – AAA has opened the state’s first Car Care Insurance and Travel Center at 6163 N. May Avenue in Oklahoma City. The 10,800-square-foot facility offers car repair and service as well as traditional AAA membership, travel and insurance services.
The retail store at 39th and Portland has closed with its personnel relocating to the new location.
The new center will provide all of its services to members and non-members, although AAA members will receive a lower price with a discount on repair labor. AAA is a non-profit association that has over 400,000 Oklahoma members.
With eight car service bays featuring the latest in automotive repair technology, skilled technicians will provide maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs such as tires, brakes, tune-ups, air conditioning and cooling systems, battery replacements, and electrical work.
Complimentary Lyft rides for automotive services customers traveling to or from the store will be available through AAA’s partnership with the ride-share company.
According to AAA, this is a new concept to Oklahoma that has been very popular in other states featuring these all-service auto centers.
“Travelers can plan a trip or take care of home or auto insurance needs while getting car diagnostic checks and repairs,” said Leslie Gamble, AAA Oklahoma spokesperson.
“We expect this new store to be full of those focused on making the most of their time,” said Gamble. “With the holiday travel period upon us, the Car Care Center is a timely addition for pre-road trip vehicle checkups and travel preparations.”
Services offered include: tune-ups and maintenance; diagnostics; heating and air conditioning repair; electrical systems diagnosis; battery service and replacement; oil and filter change; coolant, transmission, brake system, and power steering flush; four-wheel alignments; differential service; repairs on tires and brakes; standard and ABS brake service; clean and adjust drum brakes; expert brake diagnosis, service and replacement; and auto glass replacement and repair.
For more than 115 years, AAA has provided automotive, travel, and insurance services to 59 million members nationwide.
As winter has now arrived in the metro, it is important to have a car that is reliable.
“Being stuck along the side of the road is inconvenient at any time of year but in extreme cold, it is potentially unsafe for drivers and passengers alike,” said Gamble. “No one should be leaving their homes in a vehicle that is not winter ready”.
The new AAA Car Care Center, in northwest Oklahoma City, can be reached at 405-717-8200. Hours are Monday – Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
