OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The State Fairgrounds Bennett Event Center, 3001 General Pershing Boulevard in Oklahoma City, will be the site of the 2018 Mid-America Medical Cannabis Conference and Expo on Friday and Saturday, June 1-2.
The expo will feature workshops and clinics put on by some of the leading professionals in the business.
This event will have something for everyone from farmers to doctors to lay-cannabis advocates. Medical cannabis industry exhibitors from across the country will display the latest in technological advances and techniques used in farming, processing, compounding, and innovations in the Industry.
Professional emcee and MMA and boxing ring announcer Gerald Whalen will host the two day event. Guest speakers ranging from top industry professionals to medical doctors currently utilizing cannabis for their patients will share their experiences and insight.
There will be an awards ceremony on Friday June 1 to acknowledge Excellence in Cannabis. Distinguished companies and Individuals will be recognized for their contribution to health through cannabis.
“Industry leaders from around the world are bringing care and compassion to Oklahoma City,” organizers said. Over 500 vendors and 10,000 advocates are expected to attend.
There will be a private VIP lounge for special guests, sponsors and exhibitors.
Friday speakers include John Dvorak on the study of cannabis, hemp and its prohibition; Michael Leddy of Patriot Clinics will discuss hyperbaric oxygen therapy and other effective treatments for brain injuries, PTSD and disability.
Attorney J. Blake Johnson will talk about State Question 788 and the legal concerns surrounding the medical marijuana industry. Tynia A. Watson will speak about protecting intellectual property in the cannabis arena.
Attorney Anthony J. Hendricks will discuss administrative law, agency rule making process, oversight and audit authority, license revocation and agency disputes.
Oklahoma local Chip Paul, co-Founder of GnuPharma Corp., will discuss OklahomansForHealth.com, a site he and his wife Cynthia founded and still lead.

Speaker Michael Sena will take a look at the brain, the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland, and its involvement with hormones and cannabinoids.
Regina Nelson, Ph.D., medical cannabis expert, will discuss the issue of doctor/patient experiences pertaining to cannabis. Michael Browning is bringing his “Plant a Seed for Cannabis Education Tour” to the expo.

Adult two-day tickets are $60. Children 13-18 two-day tickets are $30. Tickets are good for one admittance on Friday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (awards 7 – 9 p.m.), and Saturday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Children 12 and under are free.
