Oklahoma City — The Paseo Arts District’s First Friday Gallery Walk for March will take place on Friday, March 2, from 6-10 p.m.
The walk will have 20 galleries featuring over 80 artists who will host opening receptions, promising something for everyone.
The Paseo Art Space, at 3022 Paseo, will feature paintings and illustrations by Alicia “Saltina” Marie Clark in her show titled Fragmentary Stories. Using charcoal, graphite and paint, Alicia uses a unique combination of color and pattern to create contemporary pieces that are inspired by historical stories from her Native American roots. Her exhibition will be on display March 2-31 in the Paseo Art Space.
The coming First Friday will also feature a live performance by Darre Cipponeri, a local artist whose music blends a smooth, acoustic sound with an energetic vibe. His unique style has been performed alongside hip-hop, rock, metal, hard-core, country and other acoustic artists.
Food trucks will include everything from Turkish Delight — authentic, handmade and Halal. Fatt Boys Smoke Wagon will be serving up southern barbecue smoked to perfection.
If you want to sit down and have an adult beverage then you’ll want to head over to Scratch Kitchen & Cocktails which just opened at 607 NW 28th in the Pueblo of Paseo.
The Paseo is Oklahoma City’s Unique Arts Destination, located between N.W. 27th & 30th Streets and Walker & Hudson. Each First Friday, Paseo galleries offer special themed exhibits, refreshments, guest artists and a variety of live entertainment- all within walking distance. Four restaurants and a handful of shops round out the Paseo’s unique atmosphere.
