On this week’s Capitol Report segment, Patrick B. McGuigan discussed the latest news from Oklahoma’s only school devoted solely to serving homeless children. He told Justin Dougherty, reporter for News9 (the CBS affiliate in Oklahoma City) about the recent addition of a Pre-K program at Positive Tomorrows, as well as expansion and improvements in the fourth and fifth grade classroom facilities.
In other news, McGuigan praised members of the Oklahoma Legislative Black Caucus. He noted the announcement by state Sen. Kevin Matthews, D-Tulsa, that a scholarship honoring the late E. Melvin Porter (the Sooner State’s first African-American state Senator) has been established at Langston University.
