On Monday, April 25, the Bella Foundation will host the 6th annual “Keep Bella Out of the Ruff” Golf Tournament at the Greens Country Club, 13100 Green Valley Drive, in Oklahoma City. Sponsored by First Mortgage Company, the event will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year, in addition to dozens of raffle prizes, participating golfers will have the opportunity to win a hole-in-one prize of $25000 with a matching $25000 going to the Bella Foundation.
Other prizes include an LCD Flat Screen TV, a set of Callaway 3-PW Irons, or two round-trip domestic airline tickets.
“One lucky golfer will even have a chance at winning $1,000,000,” said Eric McCune, Bella Foundation founder and president. “You could be just one swing away from one of these amazing prizes.”
All proceeds from this event will benefit the Pet Adoption Program and Veterinary Assistance Program of The Bella Foundation SPCA.
“Spring is just around the corner and we know you are itching to play golf. We also know the only thing better than playing golf is playing golf to save animals! Our tournament has earned the unofficial title of “The Funnest Golf Tournament in OKC” and you don’t want to miss it,” said McCune.
“Every year, ‘Keep Bella Out of the Ruff’ gets bigger and better and this year is no exception.”
A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Oklahoma City, the Bella Foundation was created to assist low-income, elderly or terminally ill pet owners by paying the cost of veterinary care when it cannot be afforded. Bella also strives to find permanent loving homes for rescued animals.
Since 2008, the Bella Foundation SPCA has served as a lifeline of hope, support and care for the people of Oklahoma and their pets.
Thousands of animals are euthanized or die because the people who love them cannot afford the cost of veterinary care. Stray and abandoned animals have even fewer options when brought into a clinic or veterinary office for often much needed medical care.
“At The Bella Foundation SPCA, we believe that every animal should receive the best possible care regardless of the owner’s ability to pay,” McCune said. “When an owner brings an animal into a clinic for care and cannot afford the cost, the attending veterinarian can contact us for assistance. With your help, we keep people and their pets together.”
In addition, every animal adopted into a loving home by Bella is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and micro chipped
Bella currently has over 100 available dogs for adoption that are now in foster care. They include puppies ranging from just a couple of days old to dogs up to 15 years of age. Feeding this many lives can get very costly and Bella is asking for the public’s support.
Those who wish to help can make a direct donation or visit the organization’s “wish list” on Amazon and order puppy food, which will be shipped directly to the Bella Foundation. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/10W9YVBVZ2RYF/ref=cm_sw_su_w).
All donations made to The Bella Foundation are tax deductible.
The tournament fee for a team of 4 is $600. The event will include a 4-person shotgun scramble – best ball played.
Mulligans will be available to purchase for $5 each with a maximum of 4. Only 2 can be used per each 9 holes.
A complimentary lunch will be provided immediately following the tournament during the award ceremony and prize raffle. Participants can email Golf Tournament with any special meal requests.
Every golfer will receive a free golf club gift certificate, (S&H not included), along with a free $10 Golfsmith Gift Card.
Several prizes will be awarded to those making a ‘Hole in One,’ including a check for $1000.
