OKLAHOMA CITY, December 5, 2013 – Will Rogers World Airport is open with most flights are currently operating on schedule. As the storm moves into the airport area, delays and possible cancellations are likely. The storm may also impact other airports in the region (such as Dallas) which would also impact operations at WRWA. Currently, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines are waiving change fees to allow customers the opportunity to change their flights if scheduled to fly today or tomorrow.
Airport maintenance crews are standing ready to treat and clear runways and to keep the airport operational. Additional airport and parking staff stand ready to clear sidewalks, roads in front of the terminal, and parking lanes.
The airport urges anyone traveling to or from WRWA today or tomorrow to check flight status prior to coming to the airport.
