Jason Aldean My Kinda Party tour Rolls into Oklahoma City in February.
After setting attendance records across the country this past summer, CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee Jason Aldean announced today that he is extending his My Kinda Party tour into 2012. Jason plans on rolling into Oklahoma City on Friday Feb. 2 to perform at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
Fellow Georgia native and Capitol Nashville recording artist Luke Bryan will join Aldean in 2012 as special guest. The only date announced thus far; Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Feb. 24 sold out in just minutes.
“I never want this year to end,” said Aldean. “This has been the best year of my career, and our shows just keep getting bigger and better, so we’re just going to take the party on into the new year. Luke and I are really good friends…we hang out on our off days, we hunt and fish together, and we love to play music to our fans. It’s gonna be a blast.”
Aldean is currently on the road finishing up his remaining performances on the Fall leg of the 2011 My Kinda Party tour, ending Oct. 28 in San Diego, CA. The new stint will begin in January with more details to be announced in the coming weeks.
Aldean is tied for the most nominations with five nods for the 45th Annual Country Music Association Awards, including his first ever in the categories of Entertainer of the year and Male Vocalist of the Year. His current Top 20 single “Tattoos on This Town” is the fourth release off his Double Platinum album My Kinda Party and follows three consecutive platinum certified and number one hits for the disc. Aldean currently has the top selling country album of the year.
Capitol Records Nashville artist Luke Bryan released his newest CD, tailgates & tanlines, earlier this summer debuting at number one on the Billboard Country Albums chart and clinching the number two spot on the Billboard Top 200 Chart.
The album’s first single, “Country Girl (Shake It For Me),” has sold over one million copies and became the fastest rising single of his career. Bryan’s tailgates & tanlines album is the follow up to his Gold-certified album Doin’ My Thing, which produced three back-to-back No. one singles – “Do I,” “Rain Is A Good Thing” and “Someone Else Calling You Baby.”
Tickets for this event go on sale Friday, October 28 at 10 a.m. They may also be purchased at LiveNation.com or charged by phone at 1-800-745-3000.
